Rookie Machine Pitch (Primarily League Ages 6-8)

This division was formerly Coach Pitch but now uses mechanical pitching machines and provides a transition from T-Ball to Single A. The games will be played 75 minute time limit. The game will utilize a machine pitcher, positioned no closer than 35' from the plate, that will pitch a maximum of 5 balls to each batter - there are no strikeouts. After a 3rd strike or 5 pitches, the batter then gets to hit off of a Tee. No catcher will be utilized. Players are taught the fundamentals of baseball such that they are exposed to playing positions and are taught throwing, catching, batting, defensive ready position and running the bases. Teams are formulated by the CLLL Player Agents.
