Each middle school within the boundaries of Central Loudoun Little League will have one middle school baseball team comprised of 7th and 8th grade eligible players (i.e. league age 13 or older) CLLL middle school teams represent Harper Park MS, J.L. Simpson MS, Smart's Mill MS, and Belmont Ridge MS.
This program is an extension of the Central Loudoun Little League Seniors Division and is designed for more competitive play. Team formation will be via tryout and selection by the respective middle school head coach.
Players may only try out for the middle school they attend. If they are home-schooled or attend private school, they may only try out for the middle school in the middle school district where they reside.
If a player does not make his/her middle school baseball team, he/she will have the opportunity to be entered back into the CLLL house Juniors or Seniors league (designation determined via registration process) for draft and league play.
Rules: The Little League Baseball Rules and Regulations for Seniors Division will serve as the baseline set of rules, augmented by a select few local rules. Of particular importance is the compliant bat rule. Only BBCOR stamped composite barrel bats are compliant. ALL other composite barrel bats are non compliant.
Roster Size: 12 minimum - 14 maximum
Games and practices will be scheduled Monday thru Thursday, with an occasional Saturday game if/when required.
Schedules, Standings, and Rosters will be available on the District 16 Big Field website
Uniforms: Once assigned, a nominal fee will be required by each player who makes his/her respective team to cover the additional cost for the custom middle school uniforms (game and practice).
NOTE: If you have already registered for the CLLL House Juniors division, you still need to register via the above link such that we can compile the tryout list for the coaches. You will not be allowed to tryout unless you have registered via the above link.
