Following the cooperation from Mother Nature, CLLL finally got its annual Blue Gold Championship games in at sunny Freedom Park on Saturday night.
The Majors game featured dominant pitching on both sides. The Orioles prevailed 3-1 in a very well played game. The Orioles' victory marks a 3-peat Blue Gold Championship run for Manager Barry Cates and his returning players. Congrats O's!!!
The AAA title game was close through the better part of the game until the Phillies broke it open for a 13-3 final. Congrats to Manager Jason Troilo and the entire Phillies team on a great season and tournament run!!!
The AA Championship features two top teams: the Rockhounds and Storm. The game was tight with a 3-3 score through the 5th inning until the Storm scored 4 to go up for a final score of 7-3.
The Championship in the A-Machine Pitch division featured some amazing pitching from the two starters in their inning of kid pitch and was highlighted by a number of web gems worthy of a title game. Doug Hensch's Owlz broke it open midway through the game en route to a 10-3 victory.
